‘5 on the farm’ festival announces official event partners

Leading wine brand ‘Lindeman’s Wines’ has been announced as one of the sponsors of this summer’s ‘5 on the Farm Festival’ at Cannon Hall Farm in South Yorkshire.
Organisers behind the Channel 5 festival, which takes place over the August Bank Holiday, have also revealed that top outdoor clothing and camping brand ‘GO Outdoors’ is also confirmed as an official event partner too.
Lindeman’s Wines will be the official hospitality sponsor and will be visible throughout the event, alongside sponsorship of the bar and exclusive pourage of their wine range. The partnership is aimed to create awareness and celebrate the brand’s Carbon Neutral Certification across their European product range, by bringing to life a carbon absorbing mural installation on site.
A spokesperson for Lindeman’s said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Channel 5. Lindeman’s hopes to bring the sunshine whatever the weather to the festival through our great tasting carbon neutral wines, and our reputation for allowing friends to reconnect and enjoy time together.”
GO Outdoors is the largest outdoor retailer in the UK with 67 stores and, in perfect alignment with the festival, has a brand focus of inspiring the public to get out and enjoy nature. They will have an integrated presence throughout the site.
A spokesperson for the brand said: “We are thrilled to be a key partner of the first ever ‘5 on the Farm’ Festival this summer. Both the event and GO Outdoors seek to champion the outdoors and inspire and equip outdoor enthusiasts. This partnership is a natural extension of GO Outdoors TV sponsorship of The Great Outdoors content on Channel 5.”
A media partnership with Global Radio’s Heart FM is also confirmed, which includes a pre-festival six-week ad campaign, as well as regional breakfast presenters, Dixie and Emma entertaining visitors on the site with a dedicated festival playlist.
The Dalesman, one of the county’s highest circulation magazines, is also announced as print media partner too.
Local MP and South Yorks Mayor Dan Jarvis has applauded the festival for bringing a boost to the local economy and for its focus on working with regional business. He said: “Thanks to the festival, Barnsley and South Yorkshire are firmly on the map for travel and tourism this summer.”
Among local businesses contracted at the site is Hot Metal printers (Barnsley), Titan Risk Management (Leeds), Special Events Bars (Huddersfield) and Cloud Conversions (Barnsley).
Visitors from all over the UK are expected to attend the three-day festival, which is billed as a ‘celebration of the best of British rural and outdoor life’.
Ben Fogle, presenter of Channel 5 series New Lives in the Wild, Amanda Owen from hit series, Our Yorkshire Farm, and Graeme Hall of Dogs Behaving Very Badly, are among the top line-up.
As well as a host of stage shows, the event will be packed full of activities that the whole family can enjoy.
Visitors able to step into the world of Channel 5’s best-loved shows, attend panels and Q&As, watch live demos, enjoy regional food and drink produce, meet the animals and see their favourite stars perform throughout the weekend.
