Wakefield’s coffee-lovers have a reason to celebrate today as Costa Coffee, the Nation’s Favourite Coffee Shop, has boosted its presence in the city with the exciting opening of a brand-new drive-thru store in Ossett Silkwood Park, Wakefield.

The latest store, which opened on 17th August, is set to offer the ideal blend of convenience, perfectly handcrafted coffee, and delicious savoury and sweet treats. Featuring a Drive-Thru lane – catering for those on the go – as well as comfortable indoor and outdoor seating, feature walls, and digital menu boards, the store offers customers an uplifting and modern environment to relax in.

With a team of nine expert baristas ready to serve the local community, it’s the perfect opportunity for customers to try some of Costa Coffee’s tasty Summer menu. Whether you want to cool down with the new Refreshers range, enjoy one of the delicious Iced Whipped Lattes, or sit down for a mouth-watering sweet treat, Costa Coffee has something for everyone.

Jude Brackstone, regional operations director, comments: “We are thrilled to be opening our brand-new drive-thru in Wakefield. Our team of skilled baristas are ready to welcome customers with their favourite handcrafted coffee - whether they are on-the-go or wanting to sit in. We look forward to getting to know the local community, and hope that the news of the store opening will make coffee lovers’ day that little bit better.”

In addition to their trademark friendly customer service, the Wakefield store team is focused on important causes. The team will be raising funds for the Costa Foundation to help coffee-growing communities all around the world. The Costa Foundation works to improve the life opportunities of children in coffee-growing communities by providing them with access to a safe and high-quality education. To date, the Costa Foundation has helped build over 100 schools, giving access to opportunities for over 100,000 children.

What’s more, there will be a ‘Rinse and Refill’ station in-store, available for customers to wash out reusable cups and top up their water bottles for free. The store also helps customers easily recycle any takeaway cups whenever they visit.

For Costa Club app members, when buying a drink with a reusable cup, members can earn an extra ‘green bean’ - bringing them closer to getting a drink for free! Or, for the best birthday celebrations, app users will get a free slice of cake on their special day. With fantastic rewards and deals all year long, including our recently launched ‘Treat Drop,’ make sure to sign up today to get involved in the fun!

The new Wakefield store will be open from 6am to 9pm Monday to Friday, 6am-8pm on Saturday and 7am-8pm on Sunday, and is available for orders via Click and Collect through the Costa Club App or with Costa Coffee’s delivery partners.
