A Middleton on the Wolds based family poultry business has created a new role in its operations team to support its growing business.

Stania Peris has joined the team at Soanes Poultry as an Operations Quality Management and ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) Technician.

Stania has relocated from Manchester to take up the new role, where she will assume responsibility for production specifications, label control, ETP testing and staff induction management. Specifically, she will ensure that our high production standards are maintained and will manage the new laboratory that is part of our investment in a new effluent treatment plant.

Stania is excited to join the growing business: "It's an exciting time to join Soanes and I'm looking forward to supporting the ops team. My university studies have included an MSc in Food Science and Innovation and an MTech in Chemical Engineering so I'm looking forward to applying my knowledge in an operational setting."

Soanes Poultry's operations manager, Simon Rodgers, said: "In the last few years, we have invested millions of pounds to produce award-winning chicken, but we need good people to continue to grow.

"I am confident that Stania will work well with the rest of our team to make a significant contribution to future growth."

When she's not working, Indian national-level handball and international-level ultimate frisbee athlete Ms Peris enjoys keeping fit, cooking and baking.

Soanes Poultry is a family-owned business that has been rearing and preparing chicken since 1947. It sells chicken to butchers and independent retailers in Yorkshire and to wholesalers nationwide.
