Lake Legal is the new shirt sponsor for the Thackley AFC ladies team. The club promotes football to all parts of the community and is currently fundraising to support NHS charities, mental health charities and food banks.

Commenting on the move, Claire Glaister, partner at Lake Legal, said: “Supporting Thackley AFC was an easy decision for us. We have a long-standing commitment to community sport, and our partnership with the football club will boost our community engagement activity. As shirt sponsors of the fantastic ladies team, we will be behind the team for the coming season.”

Thackley AFC was founded in 1930 and today plays in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division. In 1975, the club hosted FC Barcelona and Johan Cruyff at its Dennyfield ground ahead of a European Cup Semi-Final against Leeds United.

Lake Legal operates nationally from its office in Leeds. The firm supports a range of charities across the city from Moor Allerton Bowls Club to Leeds Community Foundation.

Ben Oliver, chairman of Thackley AFC, said: “Lake Legal are a pleasure to work with, and it’s great that they are backing our ladies team for the season ahead. We are an integral part of our community and rely on the support of local businesses to ensure we continue to thrive.”
