Fertility wellness company appoints Wild PR to support eco-friendly pregnancy test launch

Fertility Wellness company, OVUM, has appointed PR and communications specialists Wild PR to drive PR activity following the launch of its fully recyclable, early-detection pregnancy test.

Established in 2021, OVUM’s aim is to shorten the time to pregnancy for those who are trying to conceive. The fertility organisation is also a registered B-Corp (pending), which means it meets high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. It also donates 20% of all profits to fund further research into causes of infertility.

OVUM was co-founded by lawyer, endurance sports athlete, and member of the North Face Explorer team, Jenny Wordsworth, who founded OVUM after becoming frustrated with what was available on the market when she began trying to conceive. She struggled to find a trustworthy brand that kept up-to-date with the latest medical and scientific fertility innovations but didn’t also prey on the vulnerable woman trying to get pregnant.

Following this, the fertility company created its first flagship product with leading IVF Doctors - the OVUM re-conception and Ovulation Support supplement using data from over 550 clinical studies. This flagship product is now recommended on patient protocols in 12 IVF clinics in the U.K, and the company launches its first clinical trial this year.

The company is launching its following product, the first fully recyclable Early Detection Pregnancy Tests. These were launched in direct response to customer requests, and the product is entirely focused on the trying to conceive (#ttc) community.

The Yorkshire-based PR agency’s objective is to drive brand awareness and increase online visibility for the environmentally friendly business while promoting the newly launched 100% recyclable pregnancy test. To achieve results, Wild PR will implement a bespoke and purposeful communications strategy to increase online credibility for the fertility brand.

Wild PR works with clients across a number of sectors but predominantly in the e-commerce, professional services and manufacturing industries with their client portfolio consisting of Specialist Glass Products, BPI Auctions, The Kid Collective, Fertility Matters at Work and Heald, among others. The strategic agency specialises in traditional and digital PR, social media and SEO-focused content creation to tell their client’s stories, raise brand profile and increase visibility.

Commenting on the new partnership, Jenny said: “We’re ready for the whole world to hear about OVUM and the great work that we do, and we know we’re in safe hands by entrusting our story to Wild PR.

“We appointed this all-female team as they’ve continued to expand their knowledge and important work in the fertility and femtech sector. It was their partnership with Fertility Matters at Work that assured us we’d be partnering with women who understand the mindset and sensitivities around the woman who is experiencing the pain of trying to conceive and bring a baby home. This is hugely important to us at OVUM as we’re here to disrupt an industry that has never put this customer at the forefront of all that it does.

“By working with Wild PR we hope to spread the word of our latest product, in particular, the first and only fully recyclable pregnancy test. This test is destined to become a best-in-class product and a clear disruptor brand to Clearblue.”

Founder and Managing Director of Wild PR, Katrina Cliffe, comments: “As an agency, we’re really proud to work with organisations making a real, positive impact on those going through fertility challenges. We’re excited to add OVUM to our client roster to support Jenny and the team in raising their brand profile while being empathetic of the topic of fertility challenges and other considerations surrounding the subject.”

The appointment of OVUM follows Wild PR being appointed by holistic health business, Altered Health.
