Janet Bebb, owner of award winning Yorkshire digital marketing agency Social Progress, has once again brought prestigious accreditation home to our region. Following months of hard work Janet has just been awarded her Media Planning Certificate and Lead Trainer Certificate for Facebook Blueprint, ensuring that she remains part of the Facebook Blueprint Trainer Network and the Facebook She Means Business programme.

The #SheMeansBusiness Programme is an initiative set up by Facebook and partnered with Enterprise Nation, with the target to train 50,000 female entrepreneurs across the UK. Since its launch in 2016, #SheMeansBusiness has trained one million women in 38 markets around the world. There are only 27 Facebook #SheMeansBusiness trainers across the whole of the UK and Ireland, and Janet is currently the only one in Yorkshire.

As a recognised social media specialist and owner of Social Progress, Janet Bebb was the sole northerner invited by Enterprise Nation in 2016 to become part of this prestigious programme. Following an invitation to the Facebook HQ in Dublin, Janet was flown over along with seven other digital marketing specialists from across the UK. The group were given a special tour of the amazing headquarters of the social media giant and then it was down to business, returning home to Yorkshire as an official ‘Facebook #SheMeansBusiness Accredited Trainer’ a fantastic achievement.

Every year since then Janet has attended rigorous training in London and this year, owing to the pandemic, she undertook the Facebook Blueprint course online which is an advanced competency to demonstrate a certified level of proficiency with Facebook’s ever growing family of apps and services.

Social Progress is the only Digital Marketing Agency in Yorkshire to have the Facebook #SheMeansBusiness Trainer Accreditation and permission to deliver the Facebook #SheMeansBusiness training on behalf of Facebook and Enterprise Nation.

“I am looking forward to sharing this expertise and experience to encourage entrepreneurial women (and men) to use and embrace the incredible business possibilities that the Facebook and Instagram platforms offer in order to grow their business. In these strange times especially, digital media is playing a much bigger part in how we communicate and promote our products and services. I am so proud to bring this knowledge and training to Yorkshire businesses so that as a region we can continue to thrive nationally and internationally” – Janet Bebb, Social Progress Ltd

Dates and details of all the up and coming Facebook #SheMeansBusiness Events can be found on the Enterprise Nation Website or the official Facebook #SheMeansBusiness Facebook Page.

Why tax returns are forcing women to rethink their careers

There's a very specific moment that happens for many professional women at this time of year, and it has nothing to do with spring motivation or fresh starts. It arrives when they're doing their tax return, and what begins as a financial exercise often becomes something far more revealing. Dr Claire Kaye, a former award-winning NHS GP turned career and confidence coach, sees it repeatedly in her practice: women who sit down to work through their figures and, in the process of calculating what
