Leeds-headquartered Northern Accountants has expanded its team with the appointment of a new marketing manager, as the practice continues its ongoing growth trajectory towards becoming a ‘top 100’ firm.

Bethany Lunt joins the business having spent the last five years agency-side, most recently at Leeds PR agency, Yasper. Her experience spans a range of B2B organisations across finance, technology, property and public sector, with a particular emphasis on media relations and reputation management.

In her new role, Bethany will support the development and delivery of Northern Accountants’ evolving marketing strategy, as the business continues to focus on sustainable growth, client retention, and brand recognition.

Founder and managing director, Phill Ellerby, said: “Over the last couple of years we’ve recognised the importance of bringing specialist expertise into the business to help us grow further. We’ve strengthened our leadership team, broadened our advisory capability, and continued to invest in the development of our people.

“Beth understands the complexities, the pace and the level of accuracy required in an organisation like ours. As we continue to grow, we want to communicate in a way that reflects who we are and the service standards we’re striving for, and Beth will play a key role in helping us do that.”

Beth added: “I’ve really valued my time working agency-side, and moving in-house felt like the natural next step in my career development. Northern Accountants presented an opportunity for me to build on my generalist marketing skillset whilst also enabling me to further develop my content specialism within professional services.

“It’s an exciting time to join the team, with so much already in motion across operations, AI, people development and the wider growth strategy. My priority is to build on the work that’s already been done and help the firm communicate clearly and consistently as it continues to grow.”

The news follows as Northern Accountants releases further vacancies for two portfolio leads covering both their Hull and Leeds offices, as well as a bookkeeping manager and a client experience coordinator.

This update also builds on the firm’s most recent AI specialist announcement, which detailed significant ongoing investment in process transformation and colleague development.
