Platinum Lounge & Bar located on High Street in Rotherham town centre is helping to raise spirits with the reopening of its doors to punters and the launch of its new and extended menu, including its ‘healthy-range’ of jacket potatoes and paninis.

Following its successful Covid-19 safe trial and the green light from the local authorities, the team are now back in the magnificent Grade 2 Imperial Building and serving a wide range of internationally sourced wines, beer, and spirits.

The venue also continues to serve specialised teas and coffees thanks to a local partnership with Balmforth & Co Yorkshire.

Its new expanded menu will be available to customers between 11am and 3pm on Mondays through to Thursdays and between 11am and 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, both on site at the premises, as well as for takeaway.

The team are now taking bookings for those wanting to pop in for a drink or a bite to eat, as well as for those looking to hire the VIP space.

To keep customers safe the popular venue now boasts a new one-way system, as well as other increased health and safety measures including signage encouraging people to social distance, and ventilation systems to ensure people can safely move and socialise within the establishment.

Paul Simms, Owner of Platinum Lounge and Bar commented: “As a business, the health and safety of our staff and customers is of the upmost importance to us, that is why we have spent a long time understanding our requirements and setting out clear rules to ensure social distancing can be upheld.

“After a very hellish few months, it’s a relief to have our doors back open and to be able to welcome existing and new customers back with our newly launched menu that should hopefully tickle their fancy after being stuck at home.”

Platinum Lounge & Bar was first established in 2019 after receiving kickstart grant funding from UKSE – an organisation which focuses on helping businesses in steel areas with investments, loans, and premises.

Alan Stanley, Regional Executive at UKSE added: “Most people know that the first year of any start-up business is always the hardest, and I think for Paul and his team coronavirus couldn’t have made this statement any truer.

“I’m so pleased to see it reopen and survive the initial storm of the pandemic and I hope that people will now be able to enjoy these facilities safely.”
