Thrive Law, Equal Talent and The Career Mum have come together to create a new conference under the banner of the ‘She Has No Limits’ movement that will bring together like-minded women to inspire, educate and support one another.

Each one of these businesses/communities already works to coach, mentor and support working women and joining forces enables them to scale their effort even further. The impact of Covid-19 has been enormous, and this conference aims to help women bounce back and continue to achieve their goals through these uncertain times.

“We want to sew equality into the fabric of the culture of the businesses we work with and we do that by practising what we preach and proactively supporting initiatives such as this. Thrive are not only co-organising but have sponsored the event too, this is important for us to ensure we inspire and empower as many women as possible at this time as we know they have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic” Says Jodie Hill – Managing Director & Solicitor – Thrive Law

The first ever conference will be taking place on the 24th of September and will be held entirely online. The event will be hosted on the Hopin platform which is an all-in-one solution that can host thousands of people and guests can attend both speeches and one-to-one networking sessions.

The virtual summit will include 2 panel discussions, a choice of expert sessions, a keynote speaker, an awards presentation, alongside an exclusive performance from Lockdown social media sensation Quarantina Turner. The conference will comprise a diverse panel of speakers, each offering inspiring stories that are designed to motivate and educate. The line-up includes Sali Midjek-Conway, Paula Jay, Michael Ray, Anette Joseph and a whole host of other world-class speakers.

Amanda Newman of The Career Mum speaks to her excitement around the event and its potential for the future:

“I founded The Career Mum three years ago and it’s has grown to 5000 global members. I know that women have huge potential and I strive to use my network and knowledge to empower them to achieve.

“COVID-19 has had devastating consequences for women and their careers. We need to keep pushing for equality and what better way than to collaborate and deliver this one-day summit. I hope that this is the first of many”.

The event has also attracted some impressive tier-one sponsors, including The Telegraph, Smart Pension, Currentbody and MHR all of which share a similar agenda to the event and the She Has No Limits brand.

Catherine Smith, Founder and Executive Coach at Equal Talent is especially interested in the support network that the event is aiming to engender:

“In response to the challenging times and impending redundancies we were keen to launch a conference that brings together like-minded professional women who want to collaborate, support and challenge each other to career success. Women have the most incredible propensity to support. The energy, positivity and vibe that is generated by women for women is incredibly motivating and energising. We are in this together and it’s really important that women who are having a tough time feel supported and encouraged to succeed.”

The organisers are determined to improve the lives of working women across the country, and with this, are dedicated in donating 10% of the event’s ticket costs to their partner charity - The Young Women's Trust. Young women are the demographic hit hardest by Covid-19, and the Young Women's Trust is working to achieve economic justice for them.

The event will be bringing together an array of companies and is offering partnership opportunities to those looking to get more involved in supporting. Paul Porter, Head of People & Strategic Management at Totus Environmental says “I’m delighted to be co-organising She Has No Limits, which brings together several fabulous communities to empower, inspire and support each other. There are no sides – men and women are in this together. We often talk about the “glass ceiling” that prevents women from reaching senior leadership positions. In reality, the biggest obstacle that women face is much earlier in the pipeline, at the first step up to manager. Fixing this “broken rung” is the key to achieving parity. Covid-19 has impacted women harder than men – SHNL is a movement – not a moment - to get them back on track.”
