Doncaster Corn Exchange is set to mark the festive season with a special charity concert featuring renowned rock violinist Daisy Jopling on Thursday 4 December. Organised in partnership with the Rotary Club of Doncaster Knights, the event promises to be an unforgettable evening of live music, which encourages the local community to give back to local causes.

Having performed at iconic venues including the Great Pyramids of Egypt and the Royal Albert Hall, lead artist Daisy will be joined on stage by talented young musicians from Hill House School, featuring the Jazz Trio, Guitar Ensemble and Jazz Orchestra.

Those attending can expect joyful Christmas classics, jazz interludes and a few surprises including a rock violin rendition of a song by The Who, and Daisy’s unique take on Vivaldi’s Winter.

Rachel Harban, general manager for Doncaster Market Estate, which incorporates the Corn Exchange, said: “It's a pleasure be welcoming
Daisy and the Rotary Club of Doncaster Knights to the Corn Exchange this December. Since reopening, we’ve been determined to make the Corn Exchange a place that brings people together and this concert is the perfect example of that. It’s set to be a magical evening that captures the festive spirit of our city while supporting brilliant local causes.”

Philip Wilbourn, president of the Rotary Club of Doncaster Knights, added: “It’s a real triumph for Doncaster to be able to bring this festive concert to the wonderfully refurbished Corn Exchange. It’s been a massive team effort, and I’d like to thank every single person who has helped to make this fundraising event possible. As Rotarians, we work tirelessly to raise money for good causes, and profits from this concert will be split between The Doncaster Knights Foundation and other local charities. Every ticket sold helps make a real difference in our community.”

The event promises to be the perfect kick-off to the festive season. Tickets are £27.50 and the concert will begin at 7pm.
