Merritts Solicitors LLP, a long-standing independent law firm on Yarm High Street, has strengthened its conveyancing team with the appointment of four new staff members as the firm continues to grow to meet increasing client demand.

The firm welcomes:
Samantha Weston, conveyancing executive, bringing over 20 years of experience in residential and commercial conveyancing.
Helen Spencer, solicitor, who originally studied at Teesside University and has extensive experience in residential conveyancing.
Freya Savory and Emma Payne, who join the practice in support roles within the new business team.

Managing partner Matthew Moran said: “We are continuously looking to expand to support the needs of our clients and the rising demand in conveyancing in particular, so I am thrilled to welcome four new faces to the team as part of this commitment.”

He added: “We are still a traditional High Street firm, focusing on meeting the needs of local residents who can come in and speak to local people who are friendly and approachable. It’s crucial to us to have the right people in place to deliver this.”

Looking ahead, the firm will welcome more new recruits in the New Year, in to the Private Client Department and the appointment of another trainee solicitor.

For almost 60 years, Merritts Solicitors LLP has supported the local community, not only through its legal services, but also through its active involvement in local events, sports teams and community initiatives. The firm continues to champion fellow independent businesses on Yarm High Street, sourcing from suppliers such as Diana Kaye Florist, who provide office flowers and Christmas decorations, and Yarm DIY, who supplied this year’s office Christmas tree. The firm will also be hosting its Christmas party locally to support another High Street business.
