A North Yorkshire based HR, talent acquisition and recruitment agency has rounded off a successful start to 2021 with the opening of an office in York.

Sweet HR and Recruitment, which was founded in 2017 and offers an alternative approach to recruitment based around an in-house model, has seen demand for its services grow in the first half of the year. The opening of the new office will allow the company to serve a growing base of clients across Yorkshire and the wider UK.

Founder and director Sian Whelan, said: “The opening of the office reflects the growing confidence of businesses in Yorkshire and beyond as we move into the second half of the year.

“As we emerge from the challenges of the last year and a half, we’ve seen over the last six months, as businesses look to grow their workforce that they’re increasingly looking for a solution that allows them to recruit high calibre candidates, whilst also developing a talent pool of individuals they can tap into as they continue to expand.

“As well as developing a talent pool and creating a long-term hiring plan, using an in-house approach to recruitment is also something that can result in huge cost savings for businesses who are reliant on recruitment agency support each time they need to recruit, which is an increasingly important consideration.”

The office will run on a hybrid working model allowing Sweet to work with its clients and candidates in a way that reflects the changing nature of business as a whole.

“The way that businesses operate as a result of the pandemic has changed hugely and hybrid working is becoming much more of an expectation for candidates where an employer can offer it. This is certainly something that we are reflecting as a business alongside many of our clients,” adds Sian.
