Chadwick Lawrence, a leading law firm in Yorkshire, recently held their second Charity Iftar event on 21 March 2024 to promote diversity, inclusivity, and different faiths and cultures. The event, held in The Madisson, Bradford, brought together many businesses and individuals.

Asma Iqbal, partner at Chadwick Lawrence, said in her welcome speech, “Ramadan gives us the perfect opportunity to share food with our friends and eat together, strengthen existing relationships and develop new friendships and helps to break down barriers. It is an absolute honour to host another inclusive business community Iftar this year”.

Among the distinguished guests was James Mason, the chief executive officer of the WNY Chamber of Commerce, who echoed sentiments of unity and togetherness during the holy month of Ramadan. Also in attendance was Felix Kumi Ampofo, Director of Inclusive Economy Skills and Culture at West Yorkshire Combined Authority, alongside many other esteemed guests.

This year, the event was aimed at raising funds to support a charity for refugees. Asma and the Chadwick Lawrence team felt strongly about supporting this cause.

Asma comments “The event was a great success. Hosting a charity Iftar is quickly becoming my favourite calendar event of the year. Not only is it a wonderful opportunity for the business community to get together and share food and conversation, but it is also all in support of a great cause. I’d like to thank the wider Chadwick Lawrence team for their support, and attendance, and all our other attendees.”
