The Matt Haycox Foundation was formed in 2017, resulting from a chance meeting with a young boy called Alfie Stalley. Alfie was a cerebral palsy sufferer, but had the opportunity to have a life changing operation if funds could be raised. But time wasn’t on his side.

When Matt Haycox woke up that morning to head over to Hartlepool Football club, he had obviously never expected to meet Alfie and his family. But guessed it was fate for both to meet. Having heard his story Matt decided to donate nearly 50% of the funds that were needed, Alfie got his operation, and the rest is history!

"I knew that wasn’t to be the end of my involvement in these situations, and since the formation of the Foundation, we have been providing funds, and changing lives in all kinds of situations for kids and their families across the UK." Matt Haycox.
